What is a doula? Click here for a cute video about what doulas are and how they can help :)
Harm Reduction Doulas
We can help you access treatment, baby supplies, housing case management, and more.
We provide free doula support for pregnant people who use drugs and pregnant people experiencing homelessness. We will support you regardless of your pregnancy outcome (for example, abortion/miscarriage, adoption, or parenting).
https://tinyurl.com/HRDCrequest
The following doula services are listed for accessibility - not all doulas may have experience with substance use or harm reduction practices. Many doulas can provide physical and emotional support throughout the perinatal experience. This may include some of the following: birth, postpartum, abortion, miscarriage, and bereavement. Some doula services are for specific communities, races, or ethnicities. Please call or visit their website to learn more.
Open Arms Perinatal Services
Provides birth and postpartum doula services free of cost for birthing people living within King, Pierce, and Snohomish Counties. Open Arms also provides community based outreach services to the following communities: African American, Latinx, Native (American Indian/Alaskan Native) and Somali.

Hummingbird Indigenous Family Services

Additional Access:
Doula Match
This website can help you find a doula, and you can select a doula who has experience working with families with substance use. Most doulas charge a rate for services, but check to see if they offer sliding scale or pro-bono if financial hardship is a barrier to care.
